Two 'trapped' after crash on A39 in Cornwall

Pirate FM understands two people have had to be cut free after a crash in north Cornwall.

Firefighters from Bude, Bodmin and Delabole were called after two vehicles hit on the A39.

A stretch north of Poundstock was blocked for several hours on Monday afternoon.

Officials have not confirmed whether anyone was seriously injured, but police and paramedics were also scrambled.

"At 15:13 the critical control centre received a call from the ambulance service regarding a road traffic collision.

Appliances from Bude, Bodmin and Delabole Community Fire Stations attended, along with officers.

On arrival, a two-vehicle road traffic collision was discovered, with two persons inside a vehicle.

"Crews made the vehicles safe and remain on scene assisting the ambulance service".
