Police have confirmed a man has been arrested after a five-hour rooftop incident in St Austell.

Cornwall's only tower block - Park House flats - was cordoned off for most of Monday afternoon.

Negotiators, firefighters and paramedics were called to Bridge Street amid concerns for a man's welfare.

At one point, some residents were stopped from going back into their homes because of public safety.
