Man's body found in the street

A man's body has been found in the street in south east Cornwall.

Police and paramedics got the shout to Looe amid concerns for a person's welfare.

When they arrived the man in his 60s was found on Barbican Hill - but sadly he could not be saved.

Officers say his family has been told and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Police and ambulance were called at 7.20am today 13th November following the concern for the welfare of a man found in Barbican Hill, Looe.

"On arrival officers found the man deceased in the street.

"The man was in his 60s and from Looe.

"Next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
