Biker taken to hospital after crash on A30

A biker has been taken to hospital after a rush-hour crash on the A30 in west Cornwall.

A motorbike and a car collided on the Hayle bypass just after 7am on Wednesday.

Police have confirmed a man has suffered injuries, but they are not believed to be serious.

"A male motorcyclist is being taken to Treliske – his injuries are not life-changing or life-threatening.

"Recovery are on the scene and traffic is flowing".

Inrix Traffic and Travel has confirmed ongoing delays, after the eastbound stretch reopened, have now cleared.

"Traffic returned to normal and accident cleared on the A30 eastbound from the A3074 Nut Lane (St Erth roundabout) to the A30 (Loggans Moor roundabout).

"The accident was reported to be approximately halfway between the Loggans Moor roundabout and the St Erth roundabout.

"All lanes were reopened at around 08:10am".
