14-year-old schoolboy dies in St Ives

Police and paramedics are called to St Ives amid concerns for a teenage boy.

Emergency services got the shout to the Pen An Gwel area on Tuesday evening.

A 14-year-old boy was found at the scene and sadly he could not be saved.

Officers say his family knows and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Police were contacted by the ambulance service at around 7.45pm on Tuesday 20th November with reports of concern for a 14-year-old boy at an address on Pen An Gwel, St Ives.

"The boy was declared deceased at the scene and his death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

"Next of kin are aware and a file is to be prepared for the coroner."
