There has been a big landslip on the north coast of Cornwall.

The sea is brown with mud after part of the cliff gave way near Portreath.

It comes after Storm Diana battered the Duchy with strong gales and big waves.

“We can confirm that there has been a landslip on National Trust land at Carvannel just West of Portreath as a result of the recent stormy weather.

"Our ranger team have assessed the site today and diverted the South West Coast path further in land away from the section of cliff concerned.

"If you are walking the coast path in this area, please follow the diversions that are in place.”
