This is the moment a van was seen on the A38 carrying a Christmas tree so big, it was touching the road!

A Safety Camera Unit inspector for the Peninsula Road Safety Partnership spotted the vehicle last weekend.

PC Jane Bickley shared the image on Twitter, in a bid to warn drivers of the dangers of large loads.

"Shocking image spotted on the A38 by one of our speed camera vans over the weekend.

"We all know it's a hectic time of year in the run up to Christmas... but please consider the suitability of your vehicle if transporting such a large load".
