Serious wet weather crash on A30 in Cornwall

A car has ended up in a field after two wet weather crashes on the A30 in Cornwall.

The air ambulance were scrambled to the first after the vehicle careered off the road at Temple.

Three people were injured just after 10am on Friday and one has been airlifted to Derriford.

"One fire appliance and the rescue tender from Bodmin responded to this incident.

"On arrival, a single vehicle road traffic collision was discovered.

"Firefighters used crash rescue equipment to release a trapped occupant who was transferred into the care of the ambulance service".

"A30 Eastbound closed. Queueing traffic due to debris on road and accident before A30 (Warleggen turn-off).

"A car has left the road and ended up in a field near to the Colliford Lake turn-off.

"The road has been closed while emergency services deal with the accident.

"Police will try and turn the vehicles in the queues back towards Bodmin".

Diversions are in place after a separate collision over Bodmin Moor, said to involve six vehicles.
