One person airlifted to hospital after A30 crash

One person has been airlifted to hospital after a serious wet weather crash on Cornwall's A30.

A car careered off the road near the Warleggan junction at Temple and ended up in a field.

One casualty had to be cut free after the collision, first reported just after 10am on Friday.

South Western Ambulance has confirmed two others were also injured and taken to Derriford.

"We were called at 10.02 this morning to a road traffic collision. An air ambulance, two road ambulances and an operational officer attended the scene.

"Three patients have been taken to Derriford hospital.

"One of those patients was airlifted and one suffered a head injury".
