Fallen tree shuts main road between Truro and Falmouth

A stretch of the A39 between Truro and Falmouth, shut for six hours because of a fallen tree, has reopened.

The mass of branches was completely blocking the road between Devoran and Perranarworthal.

Penryn clinic, Enhance Your Glow, shared the warning after their doctor was forced to turn around.

It happened just after 9am on Sunday and the road was closed until just before 3.30pm.

The closure had been extended to the Treluswell Roundabout at Penryn but has since been lifted.

"The A39, in both directions, has re-opened and traffic has returned to normal.

"Fallen tree removed between Carnon Gate Roundabout (Devoran) and the A393 (Treluswell Roundabout, Four Cross).
