PHOTOS: Wadebridge ice rink gets 'vandalised'

The organisers of the Wadebridge Winter Wonderland ice rink say they are "absolutely gutted", after parts were found vandalised.

Police say there were also reports of windows, bins and plastic panelling being damaged on Wednesday night.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and as of Thursday, remained in custody.

"Absolutely gutted this morning, over night the ice rink and some of the town has been vandalised.

"The staff at the rink are working hard to get it fixed this morning and the organisers who are all volunteers are with the police now."

"Police were called following reports of criminal damage at a fish and chip shop and a public ice rink in Wadebridge.

"It was reported that a number of windows, bins and plastic panelling had been damaged overnight.

"A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody at this time."
