PHOTO: Underfloor heating sparks fire in north Cornwall

This was the scene after underfloor heating sparked a fire at a home in north Cornwall.

Firefighters from Padstow and St Columb got the shout to St Ervan on Wednesday night.

The blaze was already out by the time crews got there but they cut away the burnt out area.

They inspected the scene and made it safe.

"On receipt of this call appliances from Padstow and St. Columb were mobilised, on arrival the crews found that a fire involving underfloor heating was extinguished.

"Crews cut away the burnt out areas and proceeded to make the scene safe."

"Shout 21:53. Property fire - St Ervan. Ourselves and @StColumbCFRS mobilised to a fire within underfloor heating.

"On arrival fire was out but crew cut away area for further inspection."
