Police have revealed more details after the discovery of a body at woods in Cornwall.

Officers say a man discovered at Tehidy was in his 30s and from Redruth and his family knows.

One of the entrances to the popular country park was cordoned off for several hours on Thursday.

However, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Police were called at 10.20am today to Tehidy Woods, Camborne, following reports of concern for welfare of a man.

"The man who is in his 30s from Redruth, was declared deceased at the scene.

"Next of kin have been informed and his death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

"A file is to be prepared for the coroner".
