Abnormal load to cause delays on A30

Drivers are being warned to expect delays on the A30, because of an abnormal load travelling from Devon to Cornwall.

The load, which is about 6m wide and 23m long, was set to leave Sourton for Padstow at 9.30am.

It is expected to make a stop in the layby at Mitchell, before reaching the Duchy at 2pm on Thursday.

"Abnormal load on A30 Westbound from A386 (Sourton Cross, Sourton Down) to Padstow (Padstow). Expect delays.

"A wide load which is 6m wide and 23m long is travelling from Sourton to Padstow via the A30.

"The wide load will set off around 09:30 and is expected to arrive in Padstow before 14:00.

"The wide load will stop en route at the Mitchell layby".
