Pedestrian seriously injured after crash

A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after a crash in a car park in Falmouth.

The 84-year-old woman was caught in a collision with a car outside the Co-op on Mongleath Road.

She was flown to Derriford by air ambulance after it happened on Thursday lunchtime.

Devon and Cornwall Police are urging anyone who saw something after 12.30pm to come forward.

"Police are appealing for witnesses after an 84-year-old woman was in collision with a car outside a Falmouth supermarket yesterday [10th January].

"Emergency services were called at 12.40pm after a blue Volkswagen Passat collided the pedestrian in the car park of the Co-Op store in Mongleath Road.

"The elderly woman, from Falmouth, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance.

"Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact them via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 289 of 10/01/19".
