Driver dies after serious rush hour crash in Newquay

A man has died after a serious rush-hour crash on a busy main road in Newquay.
Police say a car hit the railings on Henver road, closing the road for several hours.
Paramedics carried out CPR at the scene on Thursday, but the driver could not be saved.
Anyone who saw something just after 4pm or who has dashcam footage is being urged to come forward.

"At approximately 1614hrs on Thursday 17th January, police and ambulance were notified of a road traffic collision that occured on Henver Road at the junction of Porth Way, Newquay.
The collision involved a silver Kia Venga which crashed into a pedestrian barrier.
"Ambulance attended and carried out CPR on the male driver of the Kia, however he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"The Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses who may be able to add some information for this investigation.
"They are being asked to come forward quoting Log 543 of 17th January 2019.
"Officers are particularly interested in witnesses who may have seen the manner of driving of the Kia prior to the incident or have any relevant dashcam footage".
