Warnings after spate of burglaries across Camborne

A warning has gone out after a spate of burglaries across the Camborne area.

Police homes are being targeted in later afternoons and early evenings.

Last week jewellery and cash were stolen from a property on Garland Place.

Now officers are urging people to secure doors and windows, store valuables securely and also to consider security lighting.

"Residents in the Camborne area are asked to be vigilant due to an increase in house burglaries which are in the main being committed in the late afternoon and early evenings.

"he most recent report of burglary has taken place to a property in Garland Place between 4.30pm and 6pm on Thursday 17th January 2019.

"Entry was gained via an insecure door, jewellery and cash was stolen.

"Residents are urged to make sure that doors and windows remain secure, even when at home.

"Please consider security lighting and screening to give the appearance of someone at home.

"Valuables should be stored securely wherever possible and not readily on view."
