Emotional tributes to young mum after fatal crash

Heartfelt tributes are being paid to a young mum who died after a crash on the M5.

Kayleigh Gill from Tavistock lost her life when a car and a lorry collided near Exeter.

Friends say the 22-year-old was loved and cherished by so many and her boys were her world.

They have launched a Crowdfunder to support the family and you can read more here.

Friends are raising money for Kayleigh's funeral and say any extra will be used to support her sons.

"Kayleigh was a mum to two beautiful boys; Isaac who is nearly four and Arthur who is nearly two. She was a loving fiance to Dominic.

"Kayleigh was a beloved daughter to Steve and Sarah as well as being an amazing sister to her two older brothers and two younger sisters.

"Kayleigh was loved and cherished by so many her friends and family have shown this by all the loving tributes they have written about her from loving memories and the hours of laughter shared.

"Kayleigh was the most amazing mum to her two boys she doted on them they was her world.

"Kayleigh will live on through her boys and everyone will make sure they know how much she loved them.

"Lots of family and friends have asked the family if they can help or contribute towards anything so I thought this would be a nice way for them to be able to do this. All funds raised will go towards Kayleigh's funeral and if there are any funds left over, they will go to her two precious boys.

"To anybody who wants to contribute - we would be so grateful".

Devon and Cornwall Police are still appealing for witness to what happened on the 14th January.

"A woman has died following a serious collision on the M5 on Monday 14th January.

"Emergency services were called at 5.50am on 14th January to reports of a collision, on the M5 near junction 29 southbound, between a car and a lorry.

"22-year-old Kayleigh Gill, from Tavistock, was taken to RD&E before being airlifted to Derriford hospital by air ambulance. She passed away on Friday 18 January as a result of her injuries.

"Three other occupants of the car have been taken to RD&E hospital by land ambulance. They have sustained minor injuries.

"The driver of the lorry sustained minor injuries.

"The M5 was closed for around six hours whilst emergency services attended the scene and re-opened just before 1pm".
