No sooner has one ice warning for Cornwall been lifted than another goes out!

The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for parts of the Duchy, after the snow chaos.

The latest covers Bodmin and the north and east of the county between 4pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.

What can we expect?

  • Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • Probably some ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

What is the forecast?

"Most areas will be dry on Saturday although some wintry showers will continue to affect East Anglia.

"After dark, temperatures will fall rapidly and untreated wet surfaces, particularly those where snow has partly melted and then refreezes, will become very icy".
