A property in Penzance has been slapped with a closure order, amid a crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

The latest order means only the tennant and those who live there can come and go.

Cornwall Council says this is the third one issued in the Penwith area in two weeks.

Its anti-social behaviour team and police have been working with LiveWest to tackle ongoing issues in the town.

On 30th January 2019, magistrates granted a Partial Closure Order on a property in Trezela Road.

"The Partial Closure Order was applied for in response to information provided by members of the public and agencies involved, showing how the tenant of the address allowed visitors to the property to cause alarm and distress to the community.

"The tenant failed to manage their tenancy and allowed a number of breaches to occur within their agreement with LiveWest.

"This included allowing visitors to attend the address and have a free run of the premise and act in a disorderly manner.

"By allowing this behaviour to occur they also placed family members at risk.

"All agencies involved have worked closely to make this closure a success and improve the quality of life for the other residents within the location".
