Knife blades sticking out of wall in Cornish village

Pirate FM understands police are investigating reports of knife blades found sticking out of a wall in a Cornish village.

A mum made the discovery as her little girl walked along the railings near the village hall at Trispen,

Emma Hayes posted a warning on a local Facebook page after picking her daughter up from pre-school.

She is urging parents to watch out, amid fears it was done deliberately for somebody to stand on.

"I'm absolutely shocked to be writing this!

"Picked daughter up from pre school & always walk on the wall where railings are near village hall... to find Stanley knife blades sticking up out of the wall!

"How can somebody do this on purpose for anyone to stand on them!"

Police are asking any other instances to be reported to them.

"It appears that the person who found these removed them and then shared this information with us.

"The local team have been made aware.

"Any further instances, please report them to the police."
