Over a third of people treat pets more than partners

It seems people prefer to treat their pets than their partners for Valentine's Day.

In fact 38% of people have admitted to buying more gifts for their animals than their significant others.

Blue Cross has also found that 15 percent of people ACTUALLY love their pet more than their loved one.

Who wouldn't love this face more? 

30% have said their pet has managed to reduce the amount of stress in their relationship, with a further fifth (23%) admitting their pet has brought them closer to their partner.

In fact, one in ten (10%) said having a pet has even added months onto a past relationship, and for 9% it actually kept them together for years longer...

Who gets the dog when you split?

One in eleven (9%) have lost a pet during a breakup.

A further 5% having negotiated visiting times with an ex to see their pet, making an already emotional time more difficult.
