Men suffered "significant injuries" after assault

Police have issued an appeal for clues after a serious assault outside a Cornish pub.

Officers say two men were left with "significant injuries" after the attack in St Columb Major.

Pirate FM understands one had "lacerations to his face" outside The Red Lion last month.

The incident happened between 11.30pm and 11.50pm on Saturday 23rd February.

"Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which two males were assaulted in St Columb Major.

"The incident happened on Saturday the 23rd of February 2019 between 23:30 and 23:50 outside of The Red Lion, Fore Street, St Columb Major.

"The two male victims sustained significant injuries with one of the males sustaining two lacerations to his face."

Anyone witnesses are being urged to come forward, quoting crime reference number CR/016859/19.
