Meet Lester, Dreamer and Squeaky - the "severely neglected" cats being cared for by a rescue centre in Cornwall.

Two need urgent dental care and all three need antibiotics and steroids for their skin condition.

Squeaky, who was born with a deformed leg due to his parents being siblings, is in a lot of pain.

He will need his leg amputated but that cannot happen until his skin condition has healed.

Lester, Dreamer and Squeaky's Story

Clay County Cat Care is determined to bring Lester, Dreamer and Squeaky back to good health.

Spokeswoman Leanne Kent has started a Crowdfunder, saying the "poor cats have been through it".

"I was contacted by a lady called Karen who was the original owner of Dreamer and Lester. She sadly had to re-home them after her mum took ill and she had to move away to care for her.

"Karen re-homed both cats in the understanding the gentleman had them booked in to be neutered, sadly this didn’t happen and the gentleman allowed them to breed. We also now know Dreamer and Lester are 7-years-old and as kittens were found with mum in a lady's garden.

"Karen had no idea how bad the cats were being treated and allowed to get in such a state. We have also been informed Squeaky was born, they believe, in 2013.

"Dreamer has two kittens both with deformities but sadly one of the kittens passed away as has major deformities. We dread to think how many other litters she may have had".

She added: "All three of these beautiful babies will be treated and re-homed to families who will ensure they are never treated so badly again".

"Severely neglected cats, Lester, Dreamer and Squeaky need your donations to put them back to good health.

"We are looking at 2 dentals for Dreamer and Squeaky, all 3 need treatment of antibiotics and steroids for their skin condition.

"Squeaky has severe skin condition and also a deformed leg which he was born with due to his parents being siblings, this has left Squeaky in pain and very uncomfortable and will need his leg amputated.

"We are unable to amputate until his skin condition has healed.

"We only ask when we really need your help. The bill for all 3 to be treated will be in the region of £1200. If you can help please donate".

Leanne added: "They have many years ahead of them and with your help we can ensure they are treated and rehomed and have a safe and healthy future. Thank you in advance".
