The star of the new Fisherman's Friends movie has revealed some scenes made him feel sick.

Daniel Mays plays the producer who helps the sea shanty singers from Port Isaac sign their first record deal.

He has confessed to feeling a bit queasy during some of the bits filmed on the water.

Then there's the Cornish weather, as strong winds saw him harnessed to the sea wall on his first day!

But that did not seem to put-off Daniel, who admits he has always loved the Duchy.

He and his family stayed on for a week after filming finished, visiting Tintagel and going for a surf at Polzeath!

He even reveled that he picked up the Cornish lingo on-set, saying that "Dreckly" was one of the big words.

However, actor Daniel Mays still decided to stay on in Cornwall after filming and even went for a surf at Polzeath

"Lots of people got sea-sick. The focus puller threw up, as did the boom operator.

"We had the choice of whether or not we could take sea-sickness tablets; as I recall I didn't.

"But the weird thing that happened to me was when I was in the pub later on that night, I started to get sea legs.

"I started to get rocky then so it was like a delayed response. That might have had something to do with the Tribute I was drinking in the pub!"

Fisherman's Friends: The Movie was released in cinemas on Friday 15th March.
