Crowdfunder after fatal crash near St Austell

A Crowdfunder has been launched for the funeral of a young man who died in a crash near St Austell.

Ryan 'Ray Ray' Taylor lost his life after two cars hit on the A390 at St Mewan on Saturday.

The 26-year-old's family are trying to raise £7000, saying they want to give him "the best send off possible".

"Tragically taken from us all far too soon"

Lisa Taylor paid an emotional tribute and posted an emotional message, thanking locals for their support.

"This page is for Ryan Gareth Taylor, who has been tragically taken from us all far too soon.

"This will hopefully enable us to give Ryan the best send off possible.

"Any donations left will be given to Laura and baby bump Ellen to help her get through this very difficult time!

"Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and support".

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for dashcam footage, as another man remains in hospital.

"A 26-year-old man who died in a fatal collision in St Austell on Saturday [16 March] has been named as Ryan Taylor.

"Mr Taylor sustained fatal injuries after his silver Jaguar XF was in collision with a green Mazda MX5 on the A390 at St Mewan Dip, around 5.30pm.

"The St Austell man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The driver of the Mazda, a 32-year-old man from Truro, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Treliske Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

"Police officers from the Roads Policing Team, including specialist forensic collision investigators, closed the road for approximately six hours in order to carry out a thorough scene investigation.

"Enquiries are ongoing and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
