Cornwall mourns the sudden deaths of three young people in the Duchy in just a week.

Firstly, emergency services were called to Truro last Friday morning after a young woman was found on a river bank.

Pearl Bamford was found in the Garras Wharf area.

Efforts were made to revive the 19-year-old from Bude, but sadly she died in hospital.

Pearl's family have described her as a "wonderful cherished daughter and friend", who "shone brightly".

"Pearl was a beautiful unique creative young woman with a great future ahead of her.

"She shone brightly and her light will be sorely missed.

"Her family and friends are mourning the tragic and untimely loss of their wonderful cherished daughter and friend".

The next afternoon two cars collided on the A390 near St Austell.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at St Mewan but one of the drivers suffered fatal injuries.

He has been named as 26-year-old Ryan Taylor from St Austell.

A crowdfunder has now been launched for the young man's family to pay for his funeral.

"This page is for Ryan Gareth Taylor, who has been tragically taken from us all far too soon.

"This will hopefully enable us to give Ryan the best send off possible.

"Any donations left will be given to Laura and baby bump Ellen to help her get through this very difficult time!

"Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and support".

Then on Monday police searching for a missing young dad found a body in Cornish woodland.

The discovery was made at the Greatwood Plantation in Lostwithiel

Officers are carrying out enquiries but say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

They confirmed that the family of missing 32-year-old Jowan Evans have been informed.

The wife of the young dad who went missing from home has paid an emotional tribute.

Lucie Evans described him as "the best dad, son and husband I know".

"To everyone who searched and took their time to help look for Jowan. We as a family appreciate it all.

"The words I never thought I would write. To my darling Jowan, the perfect husband, the amazing dad, the fabulous son.

"You may have been taken to soon by a dark demon but your love and courage will live on."

His family have been traced but formal identification has not yet been carried out.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
