Dog gets trapped between rocks at Cornish beach

A dog has been rescued after getting trapped between rocks at a Cornish beach.

Coastguard teams and firefighters were called out to Church Cove at Gunwalloe.

The black Labrador had become stuck just after 9am.

Crews managed to free the pooch unharmed and it was safely reunited with its owner.

"Team paged at 9.10am to a Labrador dog stuck between two large rocks, at Gunwalloe beach, Church Cove.

"The team were assisted by Porthleven Coastguard Team and Mullion Fire Service.

"The dog was eventually freed from the rocks, and is now safe back with his owner."

"A call was received by Critical Control from the owner of a dog that had got stuck between rocks on the beach.

"Three appliances from Mullion Community Fire Station were mobilised to the scene and the Coastguard was also informed.

"On arrival the crews found one dog totally stuck between rocks.

"The Coastguard were also on scene and working together, the dog was successfully released unharmed and reunited with its owner."
