Another car gets stuck on a beach in Cornwall

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 10:40am 26th March 2019.

This is the moment another car got stuck in the sand on a beach in Cornwall - this time in Newquay.

Locals shared the photo on social media, asking if anyone could go to help at Towan.

Others commented to say the Coastguard was called on Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle was right at the bottom of the slipway but eventually towed to safety!

This is not the first time a vehicle has got into trouble on one of the beaches in Newquay.

This was the scene at Great Western in December 2017, just yards from the incoming tide!

At the time, Newquay Coastguard said the driver had gone onto the beach to try to turn around.

"We remind people again, please do not drive onto beaches unless you are in a suitable vehicle & know it is safe.

"In any coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard".
