Police name man who died in A30 crash in Cornwall

Police have named a man who died in a crash on Cornwall's A30.

Two cars and an HGV collided at Victoria just after midnight on Saturday.

One of the drivers sadly died at the scene and his family has been told.

He has been named as 54-year-old Paul Walton from Bodmin.

Two other people remain at Treliske Hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact officers.

"Officers were called at 12.35am to reports of a three vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway.

"54-year-old Paul Walton, from Bodmin, the driver of a Renault Clio, was in collision with an Audi A4 and an HGV. He was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

"The two occupants of the Audi were conveyed to Treliske Hospital where they remain with serious injuries and the driver of the HGV was uninjured.

"Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses who saw a silver Renault Clio in the area of Innis Downs or the A30 at or around 12.30am on Saturday 30 March or have any dashcam footage of the vehicle or collision."

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 32 of Saturday 30th March.
