Fresh police appeal after fatal A30 crash

Police are making a fresh appeal as they name the man who died after a crash on Cornwall's A30.

54-year-old Paul Walton from Bodmin lost his life when two cars and a lorry hit at Victoria.

Officers are asking for dashcam footage after it happened in the early hours of last Saturday.

They are also urging anyone who saw something just after 12.30am to come forward.

"Police have named a man who died following a collision on the A30 on Saturday 30 March.

"Officers were called at 12.35am to reports of a three vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway.

"54-year-old Paul Walton, from Bodmin, the driver of a Renault Clio, was in collision with an Audi A4 and an HGV.

"He was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

"The two occupants of the Audi were conveyed to Treliske Hospital where they remain with serious injuries. The driver of the HGV was uninjured.

"Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses who saw a silver Renault Clio in the area of Innis Downs or the A30 at or around 12.30am on Saturday 30 March or have any dashcam footage of the vehicle or collision".

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 32 of Saturday 30 March.
