UPDATE: Crash closes stretch of A30 near Launceston

A stretch of the A30 near Launceston was left closed for hours after after a multi-vehicle crash.

There was queuing traffic westbound just over the border at Liftondown.

Pirate FM understands that nobody was seriously injured in the collision.

The road remained closed for some time while police waited for recovery to take place.

It has now re-opened but there is still come traffic in the area.

"Traffic easing, earlier accident on A30 Westbound between A388 (Polson / Lifton Down Turn Off, Liftondown) and A30 (Callington Turn Off, Launceston).

"Lane two (of two) re-opened at 14:45."
