Woman released under investigation after fatal dog attack in Looe

A woman arrested after a fatal dog attack at a Cornish holiday park has been released under investigation.

A nine-year-old boy from Plymouth was killed yesterday morning (13 April) after being attacked by a 'bulldog-type breed' of dog at Tencreek Holiday Park near Looe.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested in Saltash on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control and manslaughter.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed to Pirate FM today (14 April) that the victim is Frankie Macritchie from Plymouth. 

His family are being looked after by officers. 

The holiday park says its "deepest sympathiesare with the family.

The park remains open and police investigations are ongoing.
