APPEAL: Police try to trace young woman's last movements

Police are appealing for help to try and trace a young Perranporth woman's last movements before she died.

A body was discovered on the shoreline on the beach early on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene but sadly the woman could not be saved.

She has now been named as 22-year-old Anastaszja Plusa from the town.

Officers say her death is currently being treated as unexplained - and they are trying to work out what happened.

Anyone who saw Anastaszja on Sunday evening is being urged to contact officers.

She was last seen wearing a dark-coloured coat, blue jeans and beige Converse trainers at the Texaco garage on Budnic Hill, Perranporth, at 7.45pm.

"Police have named the woman whose body was found on Perranporth beach on Monday (15th April) as Anastaszja Plusa - and appealed for information over her final moments.

"Officers investigating 22-year-old Anastaszja’s death would like to hear from anyone who may have seen her in and around the town from 7.45pm onwards.

"Anastaszja was originally from Poland but grew up in Holland. She moved to the UK years ago and has lived in Perranporth a number of times.

"She was last seen wearing a dark-coloured coat, blue jeans and beige Converse trainers at the Texaco garage on Budnic Hill, Perranporth, at 7.45pm.

"Police are continuing enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding Anastaszja’s death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.

"Her next-of-kin have been informed.

"Police have issued photos of Anastaszja, one of which shows her in the clothes she was last seen wearing.

"Police and ambulance were called just before 7am on Monday 15 April following the discovery of the woman at the shoreline on Perranporth beach. She was pronounced deceased at the scene."
