A walker has found a skeleton of what appears to be a deer in woods in Cornwall.

Mark Phillips made the grim discovery at Tehidy earlier this week.

He said it has made him think there could be a big cat out there somewhere:

"My thoughts are a possible big cat attack. I've never seen anything like this in the woods before".

Some people commented to say it looks like the poor animal was stripped by birds and foxes.

Others replied to say it looked like a deliberate attack, as the skeleton was in the middle of the path.

"It was a shock to find it in Tehidy Woods to be honest. I walk my dog there every day and seen nothing like it before".
