Woman suffers potentially life-changing injury after A30 crash

Police have revealed that a woman has a potentially life-changing arm injury after a crash on the A30.

Two people had to be cut free after a car ended up on its side at Carminow Downs near Bodmin.

The woman, who is from Wales, was taken to hospital.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the scene on Sunday afternoon.

The road was closed for two hours.

"Police, fire and ambulance were called around 3.30pm on Sunday 28th April following a single vehicle collision on the A30 at Carminnow Downs, Bodmin.

"Ford Focus overturned and ended up on its side.

"A woman, from Wales, sustained a serious and potentially life changing arm injury. She was taken to hospital.

"The road was closed - eastbound from the Bodmin onslip. Westbound was open.

"Reopened at 5.30pm."
