This is the bird box in north Cornwall that has been causing chaos for drivers.

It's been put up in a garden in Kilkhampton, near Bude, disguised as a speed camera.

Some people say they've been fooled and even gone back to check if it was real.

The photos have been shared online and caused a stir on Facebook.

The post on Bude Banter reads: "As I was driving through Kilkhamton on my way to Bude I came across a new speed camera or so I thought.

"On a closer look it's really a bird box."

It has sparked a string of comments from people in the area...

"Well it WAS a good idea to try and stop people from speeding through Kilk!"

"Not illegal as its on his land, ie in garden and not on verge, great idea well done."

"Great idea.... and looking after our wild life. Better then netting other places have."

"I had to turn around other day to make sure it wasn't a camera very clever idea."

"Its actually more effective than the speed sign further down the road thats actually warns the car behind the one speeding through the village, obviously the sensor needs adjustment."

So, is it a good idea? Let us know below...
