The bomb squad has been called to a beach on the Lizard.
Coastguard crews also got the shout after an 'object' was found at Parbean Cove.
Teams checked it over on Tuesday afternoon and confirmed it was not harmful.
Officials say it was a mooring bouy that they already knew was there.
"Team paged to Parbean cove to assist Royal Navy bomb squad to check and confirm the previous call outs findings were not harmful.
"On arrival we guided the EOD to the exact location who looked over the object and confirmed our suspicions and that it was the mooring bouy we knew was there.
"All information was passed to our ops room and we stood down."
