A Cornish choir gets a standing ovation and goes through to the next round of Britain's Got Talent.

Truro Cathedral Choir received four yeses for their version of 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'.

David Walliams described the cover of Sir Elton John's classic as "beautiful, from the first note to the last".

When asked why they had chosed to come on BGT, Director of Music Christopher Gray replied:

"Essentially it's a church choir. The country is famous all over the world for its cathedral choirs".

"I guess the show's done so much for variety and bringing it back into the mainstream - and we hope that something really traditional can be part of that".

Cheers rang out throughout the performance on Saturday night, which ended with a standing ovation.

When the audition ended with the line "It's enough to make kings and vaganonds believe the very best", Dec said: "How good was that?!

"Well that was absolutely stunning. (Cheers). That was perfection.

"Beautiful from the first note to the last and you've created a very, very special moment on Britain's Got Talent - thank you".

Alesha praised the performance for its "purity", adding: "You have the ability to make everybody in the room feel calm and feel good and that's what we would expect from a choir".

Simon's comments included: "For you guys to be able to do something different, I think is really, really key here".

"What I loved most of all was how classic it was.

"It was beautifully arranged, the harmonising was gorgeous and we have lots of choirs audition and they all kind of jazz it up and do a bit of dancing and try everything to make themselves different but sometimes they just need to stand still and sing and that is what you did today and you delivered and it was beautiful".

The choir jumped for joy and hugged each other as the judges voted and gave them four yeses.

Simon said: "Can I just make one observation... the collars - they must be so uncomfortable because it reminds me of when I take my dog to the vet, you know when they have to - they come back and they're like trying to get it off after a day".

One of the choir boys replied: "They are horrible" - as laughter rang out across the auditorium.
