Three arrests after a police raid in Cornwall

Three people have been arrested after a police raid in Saltash.

Officers had a warrant to search a house and an area in the town centre was cordoned off.

They seized a large stash of drugs and a firearm on Monday evening.

Pirate FM understands trained sniffer dogs and an ambulance were also scrambled.

Devon and Cornwall Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident and say there is no threat to the public.

"Officers have conducted a search warrant at a residential premises in Saltash on the evening of 20/05/2019; three persons were arrested at that premises.

"A large quantity of drugs were located as well as a firearm.

"Three persons from that premises remain in police custody.

"No further people are being sought in relation to this enquiry, and there is no threat to public".
