Biker airlifted after a serious crash in Cornwall

A biker has been airlifted to hospital after a serious crash near a Cornish beauty spot.

Police have described the man's condition as life-threatening after the collision at Bedruthan.

It is believed the casualty lost control of his motorbike on the B3276 on Saturday afternoon.

They say his was the only vehicle involved and the man's next of kin have been informed.

"The call came through to us at 12.46pm. This was a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle.

"There was a single rider, a male rider, who has been airlifted to Treliske.

"He is in a life-threatening condition.

"His next of kin are aware and are with the casualty at the hospital.

"The road is now clear and open".
