Police issue update after fatal A39 crash

More details have been released about the young biker who died in a crash on Cornwall's A39.

Police have confirmed the man who lost his life at Camelford was 21-years-old and local.

He was pronounced dead at the scene on High Street, which was closed for several hours.

Officers are urging anyone who saw something, late on Monday night, to come forward.

"On Monday 27th May, at around 11.40pm, police were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on High Street, Camelford.

"Specialist paramedics attended quickly but unfortunately the male rider, a 21-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team and a Forensic Collision Investigator also attended and the road was closed for several hours whilst a specialist examination took place.

"Witnesses are asked to contact 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 994 of 27/05/19".
