Casualty airlifted to hospital after A30 crash

A casualty has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A30 in Cornwall.

A car towing a caravan overturned near Fraddon and ended up in a hedge on Sunday.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed a man suffered serious injuries and was flown to Treliske.

However a force spokesperson say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"Police were called at 1.15pm on Sunday 16th June to the A30 at Fraddon, following reports of a single vehicle collision.

"It was reported that a car, with a connected caravan, had been in collision with a hedge. The caravan had become detached from the vehicle.

"One man was reported to have sustained injuries, not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"He was taken by air ambulance to Treliske hospital.

"One lane was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene. The scene was cleared at 3.40pm".
