'Serious crash' on main road to St Austell

Police are describing a crash on one of the main roads to St Austell as serious.

The collision shut a stretch of the A391 at Bugle through the night on Saturday.

There are reports the one vehicle involved had crashed into a nearby garden.

The Alliance Roads Policing Team was urging drivers to avoid the area and find another route.

The road was expected to remain closed until mid-morning on Sunday but has since reopened.

"A391 in both directions re-opened, earlier accident investigation work from Roche Road (Bugle) to A30 (Innis Downs Junction, Lockengate).

"The road was closed around 20:45 (22/06) and has re opened around 08:40 23/06".
