Appeal to find dog walker after double crash in Looe

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 9:12am 10th July 2019.

An appeal goes out to try and find a dog walker after two serious crashes in Looe.

They both happened on the same night back in February.

A number of parked cars were seriously damaged and officers believe the same offending vehicle was involved in both incidents.

The driver didn't stop or report the crashes but luckily no one was injured.

They both happened between midnight and 12.30am on Sunday 17th February in Church End and Quay Road.

Now police are trying to try a man who was walking his dog in the area - who they think might have seen what happened.

"Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen either collision, or a vehicle being driven recklessly around Looe between midnight and 3am on 17th February.

"Officers would also like to speak to a male seen on CCTV walking his dog on Quay Road around the time of the collisions.

"The man, who is a potential witness and is in no way connected to the offending vehicle, may have seen one of the incidents.

"Members of the public are urged to come forward with any information regarding the offending vehicle or the potential witness."
