Crash closes A39 north Cornwall in both directions

The A39 in north Cornwall was closed in both directions because of a crash.

One car was involved and ended up on its roof near Bush on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver and passenger are safely out of the vehicle and are believed to have suffered minor injuries.

It was affecting anyone travelling between Bude and Hartland.

"Police were called at 3.45pm on A39 near Bush .

"Single vehicle involved and on its roof. 

"Driver and passenger out of vehicle and believed to have sustained minor injuries."

Devon and Cornwall Police

Officials have confirmed that the accident has now been cleared and the road has re-opened.

"Road cleared and traffic returned to normal, accident cleared on A39 in both directions from Stone Hill (Bush) to Ivyleaf Golf Course Turn-Off (Ivyleaf Hill).

"The road was partially blocked after being fully blocked since around 16:10. Affecting traffic between Bude and Hartland."
