Police are searching for a driver after a car was found 'parked' in a hedge in north Cornwall.

Officers got the shout to St Merryn at around 4.30am on Tuesday following a call from a member of the public.

There was no one around and the vehicle had been left.

PC Emma Buley told Pirate FM the registered keeper was nowhere to be seen and lives outside of the force area, so there were no lines of enquiry to follow.

"Last job of my night shift, arranging recovery for this vehicle ‘parked’ in the hedge!

"No sign of the occupants despite a thorough search of the area."
