Two boys have been attacked in what police call a "nasty" robbery in Truro.

A 12-year-old boy was assaulted by a stranger before having his wallet stolen, which contained cash.

The suspect then assaulted the boy's brother.

It happened on a footpath near Trelawney Road at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 20th August.

Officers want to hear from anyone who has information or may have seen what happened.

"This was a nasty incident and we are asking the public to get in touch if you have any information to help with our investigation.

"The suspect is described as white, aged 15-years-old to 16-years-old, tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a black hoody, black jeans and grey Nike trainers with a white tick logo.

"The suspect had grey gloves and had a brown mark which could possibly be a bruise to the right cheekbone".
