Appeal after fatal motorbike crash off A30

Police have launched an appeal for clues after a fatal motorbike crash just off Cornwall's A30.

Tragically, a 52-year-old man from the Truro area was pronounced dead at the scene at Allet.

The collision happened just after 7pm on Saturday, closing a stretch of the B3284 for several hours.

Anyone who saw something or who has with dashcam footage is being urged to come forward.

"Police were called at approximately 7:10pm on Saturday 24 August with reports of a road collision on the B3284 Allet, Truro in Cornwall.

"It is believed that a black motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in this incident.

"Emergency services attended the scene and the rider, a 52-year-old local man, had sustained catastrophic injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

"Local units plus officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.

"Police are appealing for witnesses and want to hear from anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation.

"If you witnessed the incident or have any dashcam footage that could assist, please contact 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 873 for 24 August".
