There have been break-ins at TWO surf life saving clubs in Cornwall.

A quad bike was stolen from Porthtowan some time on Saturday night.

Perranporth was also targeted in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is understood police are investigating after appeals were posted on social media.

"Sometime last night between 2100 and 0930 the garage door to the surf club was forced open and the RNLI red quad bike stolen.

"The quad was driven out of the car park.

"If anyone has any information or saw anything suspicious please phone Crimestoppers on 101, quoting DCP-20190907-0277.

"Share far and wide please".

"We have CCTV footage of 2 persons (slim build, average height) and police are dealing.

"Any further info gladly received, particularly if you were walking your dog early doors at our end of the beach or were out and about in Perran on your way home after 02:00".
